Why Going Mobile is Moving Forward

The ease and convenience of accessing information on the go is a culmination of the Information Age. But what happens when information can’t be accessed?
This happens when you have not made your site mobile friendly. Creating a static version of your site specifically for mobile devices, or simply developing your site using minute to no Flash coding is all it takes.

Why this should matter to you

Although smartphone and tablet users are still a minority, 40% of adults use mobile browsers with other devices. This means that approximately 40% of adults could be potential customers, should they find your site on their phones.

How to make your business a top choice for mobile browsers

If you own a business such as a store, restaurant, or salon you can allow customers to find your hours, your contact information, and your location quickly and easily. More specifically, you can allow customers to make reservations or book appointments, straight from their phones.

This can also apply to home services such as plumbing, electricity, house painting, etc. Let your customers read reviews and see estimates, and then book their appointments right away.

The long list of mobile browser capabilities can be seen in any smartphone commercial, but the message often doesn’t make it across. Booking a plumber while waiting in line for a nonfat latte is not only convenient for the browser, but also cuts down on the frequency of those loud, rude phone calls in public places. Essentially, mobile browsing can boost your business, make your customers lives easier, and it’s good for the environment. Our social environment, that is.
