We are proud to annouce our brand-new company blog at www.jomdoc.com. JomDoc (short for Joomla Doctor) is a blog dedicated to discussions and advice about all things Joomla! and web development related. We have already added about ten posts in our four basic categories:

Why JomDoc and not Hathwaytech.com/blog?
You might be wondering why we have decided to launch the blog off-site (i.e. not hosted on Hathwaytech.com) and with a different branding scheme (i.e. JomDoc, not Hathway Tech Blog). We arrived at this decision after a lot of thought and research into SEO strategies. The purpose of having it off site and with a different domain name is primarily geared towards building link trust into HathwayTech.com. That is, if a well-trafficked blog about Joomla is linking to Hathwaytech.com consistently in Joomla-based blog posts, Hathwaytech.com must be a reliable authority on Joomla issues.
The added benefit is that it has allowed us to explore an exciting new brand based on Joomla and the medical theme. We are pitching JomDoc as an unbiased trustworthy opinion on Joomla issues, just like you would expect your own physician to a trustworthy source when it comes to your personal health. This has brought forth cool features like "Ask the Doctors", a page with the url jomdoc.com/911, and "Doctor's Orders", a feature at the end of each blog entry where we summarize the post into a single recommendation for the reader. It also allows us to list sites of other Joomla developers and request inbound without creating a significant conflict of interest.
