At Hathway, we live and breathe by the quality of work we produce. We are looking for a true artist to join our team as a Senior Graphic Designer. Responsibilities include identity creation, digital campaign collateral design, user interface design, and print design.

Graphic Design: Not just Photoshopping

Designers are responsible for creative vision, user experience, visual communication, graphic design, and asset production. Our designers are versatile and multi-faceted. An understanding of web technologies and grasp of the tools is expected of all designers. We also encourage each designer to accent his or her particular interests, whether it be motion, typography, communication or usability.

Job Description

The Designer’s job is to contribute various forms of design and production support to the team. You will be primarily creating identities, designing aspects of digital campaigns, creating print collateral, and designing user interfaces.

• Inspire and collaborate with your co-workers to produce inventive, thoughtful, outstanding work for clients
• Work closely with your team to execute on the creative strategy for projects by creating viable design schemes
• Support all aspects of design and production for your team’s projects, focusing on innovation and quality
• Understand and work within project parameters: client goals and requirements, internal goals, usability, technical constraints, as well as budget and schedule
• Cultivate an understanding of industry trends and share your insights with the whole team.

Applicant Requirements

• 2-3 years experience designing interactive experiences
• Mastery of Adobe Photoshop & Adobe Illustrator and basic knowledge of the entire Master Suite. (Experience with Premier Pro, AfterEffects & Flash are a plus)
• Knowledge of print applications and production process
• Excellent communication and client management skills
• Curated portfolio of personal example pieces
• Ability to work in our office in San Luis Obispo
