Digital Strategy Manager
The Digital Strategy Manager (“DSM”) is the lead digital strategist for his or her accounts; making business decisions and communicating work requests based on client-approved strategies to project managers. As the account manager, it is the DSM’s responsibility to ensure all HATHWAY services and work requests are in the best interest of each client’s overall digital strategy. A DSM in many cases will be executing their own digital strategies, spanning SEO, online ad campaign management, social media marketing, etc. A DSM ideally has experience managing client accounts and has a broad understanding of digital, social and mobile marketing.

Specific responsibilities
Account Management
- Maintain open lines of communication with assigned client accounts
- Address billing and performance problems with clients as they arise
- Request budget approvals from clients when necessary to accomplish their digital strategies
- Manage client budgets within each account across projects
- Provide consulting on digital strategies (Marketing efforts, Facebook campaign, etc.) or on specific projects (website, applications, etc.)
- Provide regular and on-demand check-ins and status updates to HATHWAY management and clients
- Work with PM prioritize work requests across each client account
- Monitor analytics and provide reports on results of work efforts (Google analytics, newsletter stats, Facebook Insights, Facebook ad reports, etc.)
- Scope out projects and request estimates from PM
- Quality control on all work results for each client account
- Manage marketing project results and budgets (retainers and one-time marketing projects)

Required Skills
Leadership
- Experience managing corporate clients
- Ability to control group-level meetings
- Confidence to present strategies and get buy-in from key stakeholders
- Advanced understanding of advanced digital marketing principles
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities
- Expert knowledge of social media marketing and experience growing large fan pages
- Expert knowledge of search engine optimization strategy and execution
- Expert knowledge of online advertising, PPC/CPM, Google, Facebook, ad networks
- Basic understanding of Public Relations and Online Media Outreach
- Basic understanding of User Experience design for browser and mobile
- Ability to create and manage newsletter campaigns
- Detailed understanding of Search Engine Optimization
- Experience managing online advertising campaigns (Adwords, Facebook, etc)
- Basic understanding of affiliate marketing
- Experience with Analytics software
- Advanced content management skills
- Basic HTML and web design skills (preferred, not necessary)
- Familiarity with web, mobile applications, and social trends
- Ability to think creatively and come up with innovative solutions and strategies
- Eye for design and consistency with overall brand style guide and messaging
- Ability to create simple graphic designs for proposals, reports, websites, and campaigns
