Work is fast paced over here at Hathway, especially in the tech department. We are looking for a coder with strong skills and experience, and a passion to learn new tools, tricks, and languages.

Qualifications

We are looking for an expert PHP developer, first and foremost. If you can't call yourself at least a 9 out of 10 skill level in PHP and MySQL, don't bother applying!

• Expert PHP and MySQL skills
• Experience coding PHP using methods like MVC and frameworks like Kohana and CakePHP
• Knowlege of REST APIs and the ability to learn Facebook and mobile development skills
• Skill in coding plugins for systems like Joomla, Wordpress, and Drupal is a big plus
• Frontend JavaScript, AJAX, and debugging skills are required
• Passion for coding and desire to learn new techniques
• Working knowledge of software development tools like GIT, as well as in-depth knowledge of LAMP environments, shell commands, etc.

Duties

• Designing complex web, social, and mobile applications
• Working with cross-functional creative, strategic, and technical teams to deliver big results
• Debugging existing applications and adding new features
• Working with the sales team to estimate projects
