Pismo Beach, CA (March 28, 2011) — What do you stand for? Each year, AmpSurf takes a stand for veterans, for persons with disabilities; and in many cases, for those who can’t. Through adaptive surf clinics, the organization introduces amputees, veterans and disabled persons to surfing and a program that rehabilitates and changes lives. STAND & DONATE with AmpSurf.
STAND & DONATE, an online digital campaign launching in the month of May, will help AmpSurf raise funds critical to the program mission; to promote, inspire, educate and rehabilitate people with disabilities, especially our veteran heroes. AmpSurf needs your support to make this fundraising campaign a success. AmpSurf is actively seeking sponsors and in-kind donations.
The year, AmpSurf is expanding with clinics now offered on the east coast,” says AmpSurf executive director, Dana Cummings. “We hope that STAND & DONATE will help to fund program costs and participant scholarships.”
Funds raised from the STAND & DONATE campaign will go directly to AmpSurf “Learn to Surf” clinics program costs and scholarships. The 2011 Learn to Surf season kicks-off April 9 in Pismo Beach. With the support of the surf community, AmpSurf can ensure that regardless of circumstance, all who are interested can participate and experience the gift of surf.
